Current Electrical has been in business in excess of 15 years,
and the founders, Michael Mackinnon and Danny McDonough, have over
60 years of experience between them, covering most aspects of
electrical contracting. On the 1st of April 2013,
Current Electrical joined the Service Engineers group of companies
(SEL), becoming Current Electrical 2013 LTD. All of the
Current Electrical staff have remained as part of the new company
and Michael and Danny remain in their roles. Michael looks
after Tendering and technical work; control systems, integration
and design, and Danny is contracts manager; looking after the day
to day running of the business. Stewart Lodge, the managing
director of SEL, is now the general manager. Current
Electrical 2013 LTD currently employ 9 electricians and 3
apprentices.
Current Electrical (Fiji) was also part the merger and was
formed in 2010 to undertake work for Water Authority Fiji. We
have completed the upgrades to both Waila and Tamavua WTPs, and
backup generator contracts, and are currently working on the Kinoya
WWTP upgrade.
Caleb Hughes is a company Shareholder and Small Works
Manager. While it was now some time ago, Caleb was not only
ETCO apprentice of the year, but the ETCO apprentice of the Decade.
He more than deserved the award.
