Nagado Water Treatment Plant is in the hills above Nadi Fiji. It supplies the Potable Water to Nadi town. It is a sand filter plant similar to those supplying Suva’s Treated Water. The main difference is that the water into and out of the plant is all gravity fed. There is even an FEA power generator at the plants water inlet.

As Current Electrical and Mechanical (Fiji) Ltd we have undertaken the mechanical and electrical works. The project is now complete.

The work was to increase the plant output by some 10MDL. It required an additional floc tank, dosing pumps and monitoring equipment. Previously the plant had been run manually with the PLC and SCADA simply monitoring. The new works have been automated and are SCADA monitored. We also installed a new 250m 120mmOD concrete lined pipeline from the head works at Vatura, to the Treatment Plant.
